As the most important actors in democracy, the people are not only some electors who delegate all their powers and confidence to the classic branches of government. They participate actively in the life of the society by inciting the removal of bad and unfair statutes enacted by Parliament and applicable to them, statutes that often infringe their rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. They do so specifically by using their right in judicial review of statutes before the competent judges. The current work of research consists of comparing the judicial review initiated by the people in France and in Canada.
Dual-use goods, by their nature, represent a persistent challenge for export control agencies. On one hand, they account for a significant income of the producing country; however, on the other hand, their bipolar nature may raise concern regarding world mass destruction end-use(r).
Despite their sensitive nature, it must be recognised that this subject is not a very popular one among scholars and that the amount of literature on this subject is modest. Does this absence of trouble come from the legal mechanisms regulating dual-use goods? After a closer look, it seems that on the contrary that matter requires constant up-dates and improvements due to the fast changes that occur in this market.
This text provides an overview and a clear introduction to the fields of energy and environmental economics. The volume's audience is broad-gauged, academics and students seeking foundations for learning and research, and practitioners seeking guidance for informing their critical decisions in energy and environmental economics. Both newcomers to study of the field and those with a deeper knowledge base will find the material informative and stimulating.
In order to establish boundaries and facilitate learning, I have divided this book into two parts: the first part deal with energy economics and the second part deal with environmental economics.
The International Criminal Court is an international jurisdiction established to try those who violate international laws. This court since its existence has in most cases indicted Africans.
These indictments have caused uproar in Africa and has made Africans to want to withdraw from the court. This is spearheaded by Uhuru KENYATTA who was a supposed client of the court if charges levied against him were not dropped. Other Africans who have been indicted include Omar El BECHIR, Mouamar KHADAFI, Laurent GBAGBO and Ble GOUDE and others.
Namibia has already withdrawn from the court which she considers, the trials to be biased. African Union is still collectively to withdraw from the court as proposed by the Kenyan President during the African Union Summit which took place in Addis-Abeba.
